As many as 22 thousands of Palestinians performed Saturday Eidul-Adha prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque despite siege and blockade imposed by Israeli forces because of Jewish feasts.
The Palestinians managed to cross all Israeli-set barriers to observe the prayers, director of Al-Aqsa Mosque Omar al-Kesswani said, adding that the number of performers from West Bank hit 45 thousands every year.
Israeli forces deployed hundreds of troops in West Bank streets and set blockades and checkpoints on Friday and that would last till Saturday evening in observance to the Jews' Yom Kippur feast.
