Acting Libyan Prosecutor General Ibrahim Anis Bechiah decided Thursday to form a panel to investigate the Tripoli airport violence.
Earlier, the interim Libyan government announced that it will pursue those involved in shelling vital sites in the country.
Tripoli international airport has come under rocket fire for a fifth straight day, as rival armed groups battled for control of the facility in the Libyan capital.
The airport became a battlefield since Sunday when a militia launched an attack to try to take control from a rival group, part of the turmoil in Libya three years after longtime ruler Muammar Gaddafi was toppled.
