Ahmed Majdalani, a member of the executive committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization has said that the PLO is keen on neutralizing the reaction of Palestinians residing in Yarmouk Camp toward the internal crisis in Syria.
Palestinians should not be dragged into the conflict, Majdalani said in statements to the BBC Radio Monday.
The PLO has made it clear it does not want to get involved in the Syrian crisis, Majdalani said.
A PLO delegation will head for Syria later today in a bid to solve the problem in Yarmouk Camp.
Daesh militants launched an assault on Yarmouk early this month with the aim to control the camp.
Before that the camp had been under siege by government forces for months.
The camp houses some 18,000 Palestinians.
