
Prime Minister Sherif Ismail chaired a meeting Sunday to discuss final preparations of the projected visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Egypt during this month.
The meeting, attended by a host of ministers and officials, also tackled cooperation projects which will be reviewed during the visit of the Chinese president.
Egypt attaches great importance to the projected visit of the Chinese president to Egypt, which will boost the Egyptian-Chinese ties, Cabinet Spokesman Hossam Qawish quoted Ismail as saying during the meeting.
The meeting also tackled a detailed report on the proposed cooperation projects with the Chinese side, which included projects in the sectors of transport, trade, industry, agriculture and land reclamation.
The meeting also discussed bilateral cooperation in housing sector and the projects in the new administrative capital along with several development projects in the Suez Canal area.
