
Interior Minister Magdy Abdel Ghafar underlined that "the police is in the service of the people" is not just a slogan.
Policemen work hard to provide good security services, adopt creative ideas to serve citizens and treat them well according to the standards of human rights, the minister said.
He further underscored the importance of uniting efforts to resume the march of stability and development.
These remarks came during the meeting held between Abdel Ghafar and the Supreme Council of the Police Force in the framework of following the implementation of security policies, evaluating security performance and discussing the current stage as well as future goals.
The minister thanked policemen for the efforts they exerted, in cooperation with the Armed Forces personnel, to secure the parliamentary elections to allow the Egyptian people to elect the members of the parliament freely.
The policemen are determined to carry out their national duties, serve the Egyptian people as well as the homeland and achieve security and stability, the minister reiterated.
Abdel Ghafar said also that the Egyptian people are aware of the important role of the security apparatuses and the sacrifices of the policemen to protect the country.
The minister probed the security conditions, stressing the need to overcome the attempts of the extremist powers to harm the stability of the country.
He stressed on the importance of restoring security to the Egyptian street and cooperation among the various sectors of the Interior Ministry to overcome crime.
