The children of “SOS village of Draria” in Algiers received Saturday the officers of the Directorate General of the National Police (DGSN) who shared the joy of Eid al-Adha with about 200 residents of this institution, orphaned or abandoned children.
The children of the village were happy to attend the sacrifice of sheep as in the Islamic tradition.
In an atmosphere of intense joy, the officers of the national police gave the teachers and children symbolic gifts. Moments of laughter and humour were also present thanks to the shows performed by clowns who accompanied DGSN’s representatives.
The village’s Director Abdelhamid Belhadji welcomed the initiative of DGSN and the efforts of its elements for the children particularly in such occasions.
For DGSN’s representative, Chief Superintendent Hind Benakkouche, this visit is part of the strengthening of the principles of social mutual aid.
