
The police works to protect Egypt and its citizens and exerts strenuous efforts to attain security and stability.
The remark was made by Interior Minister Magdy Abdel Ghaffar during inspecting security services in main squares in the governorates of Cairo and Giza.
During his inspection tour, the Abdel Ghaffar asserted that the interior ministry respect human rights.
He also met a number of citizens and a number of policemen and conscripts.
The minister greeted the policemen on the occasion of the Police Day, which falls on Monday, and urged them to exert more efforts to attain security in the Egyptian streets.
