As the parliamentary and municipal elections near the zenith on Saturday, all contenders and the electorates look forward to the outcome of vote casting.
In a statement to Bahrain News Agency (BNA), National Unity Assembly (NUA)'s Chairman Dr. Abdullatif Al-Mahmoud urged the Bahraini people to show up next Saturday and participate in the elections, adding that loyal Bahraini citizens who want to see Bahrain in a better position should go to the ballot boxes in droves in order to elect their representatives in Parliament and in municipal councils. He added that this is the biggest clue that the Bahraini people have the desire to push the country forwards on the right path.
Also, the Al-Menbar Islamic Society's Secretary-General Dr. Ali Ahmed Al-Amin said that the Kingdom of Bahrain began its "Arab Spring" with the reform project of His Majesty the King in 2002 before there was any "Arab Spring" in the rest of Arab countries, pointing out that the Bahraini people have contributed in the reform project from the very beginning as they were convinced it is the right path to reform through effective participation.
The National Action Charter Society's Chairman Ahmed Jum'a said that contribution in this activity means the country's exiting from stagnation and moving forwards, urging all citizens and voters to participate in making their future, prosperity and stability. Jum'a said that he anticipates a massive electorates turnout, citing the positive role and participation of women and youths in the elections.
