Arab League (AL) Deputy Secretary General Ahmed bin Heli said on Tuesday that the pan-Arab body has taken all preparations for hosting the 143rd session of the AL's Ministerial Council, due to be held this month.
He said that the meeting will tackle 28 political, social and economic issues, atop of which is the protection of Arab security in light of the terrorist attacks now hitting the region.
Bin Heli underlined that preparations for the next Arab Summit, which will be held in Sharm El Sheikh on March 28-29, will be probed as well.
The situation in the Palestinian territories, Lebanon, Libya, Yemen, Iraq, Sudan, Somalia and the Comoros will be also discussed, he added.
Bin Heli underlined that the Swedish foreign minister was invited to attend the Arab League ministerial session in recognition of his country's supportive stance of the Palestinian cause.
