
Social Development Minister Dr. Fatima Mohammed Al-Balooshi received here today the Kuwaiti Ambassador to Bahrain Shaikh Azzam bin Mubarak Al-Sabah.
The Minister discussed with the Ambassador coordination to receive the "Journey of Hope" Ship for people with mental disability, due to dock at the Kingdom's ports between November 23 and 26.
The ship will be wrapping up a global tour that included 19 countries for the aim of drawing global attention to the needs of mentally disabled people.
She lauded the "Journey of Hope", and described it as a source of pride for GCC and Arab countries, being a gift by the State of Kuwait for its citizens suffering from mental disabilities.
She pledged full support to the team on board the ship, and readiness to welcome its members in their second country –Bahrain.
The Kuwaiti Ambassador expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to the kingdom for its support to "Journey of Hope" Ship and its keenness on ensuring easy procedures for it.
