Awqaf Minister and President of Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs Mokhtar Gomaa discussed with President of the World Association of Muslim Youth Ahmed el Fadaly preparations to establish the first international academy for training imams and preachers in Egypt and Islamic world.
The academy will be the first Egyptian and international academy to receive all imams and preachers from the various Islamic countries in order to confront terrorism, Gomaa added during the meeting.
Fadaly, meanwhile, said that the association of young Muslims will adopt this project, adding that the academy will start its work from the head office of the association in Egypt and its branches throughout Egypt and abroad.
The academy is scheduled to be open in January and aims to merge youths in national work and organize youth camps inside and outside Egypt.
