President of Yemen, Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi, has conferred the medals of courage on a number of the UAE Armed Forces soldiers in recognition to their leading and heroic role, whether on the ground, or sea and or air.
This came when President Hadi yesterday received the delegation of the UAE Armed Forces at Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi. He said the decision to grant the awards has "painted honour and heroism on the forehead and smiling mouth of Yemen, where the blood of Emiratis mingled with that of Yemenis." He added that the UAE Armed Forces demonstrated professionalism.
President Hadi commended the position of the UAE, led by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in support of Yemen, adding that this support has been translated into deeds and concrete acts in favour of the security and stability of Yemen, as well as welfare of its people.
He reiterated the distinctive capabilities exhibited by Emirati soldiers and heroes, citing the high combative preparedness, competency and high morale. "Despite difficult ground conditions, they managed to defeat the hostile militias."
"As we honour some of the UAE Armed Forces servicemen today, due to their remarkable and significant role in backing the legitimate government and achieving victories, we cannot give them all their due given the enormous and heroic task they demonstrated to support the legitimacy of Yemen and protect the people of Yemen. Their heroic role will remain in the memory and hearts of the sons of Yemen," President Hadi said.
