
On the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, an absentee funeral prayer will be performed for the country's martyrs in all mosques of the UAE, after the next Juma prayers on Friday.
Dr. Matar Mohammed Al Kaabi, Chairman of the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Awqaf (GAIAA), said that all Imams of mosques were asked to lead the absentee funeral prayer on Friday, adding that the Juma prayer's Khutba (sermon) will focus on the great status of the martyrs, the UAE leadership, the people's solidarity with the families of the martyrs, and prayers of supplication to Allah the Almighty to reward the martyrs with paradise.
