
His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa said that the Bahraini democracy has proved its success and overcome all challenges and obstacles thanks to the Bahraini people's confidence and high awareness.
He added that the success of the Kingdom's democratic process has also been consolidated by the joint resolve of the government and the parliament to strengthen their cooperation for the sake of supporting the parliamentary march and optimizing national accomplishments.
He made the statements as he received at the Gudaibiya Palace today Parliament Speaker Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al Mulla, Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Supreme Judicial Council President Salim bin Mohammed Al Kuwari, former Parliament Speaker Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Dhahrani, MPs, Shura members and senior state officials.
HRH Premier re-affirmed strong resolve and determination to optimise national gains, noting that, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Bahrain will embark on a new phase of nation-building and development.
"What makes us more determined and optimistic of the future is the solid leadership-people relationship, which has been a catalyst of national achievements," he said.
HRH Premier underscored the government's desire to build an advanced model of executive-legislative cooperation that can be considered a distinctive feature of the Kingdom's democratic experience.
"The two branches share the same goals of achieving the citizens' interests and enhancing the nation's progress," he told the audience.
Parliament Speaker and Shura Chairman lauded HRH Premier's keenness to strengthen the pillars of cooperation between the executive and legislative branches.
They credited HRH Premier for the success of cooperation between the two sides thanks to his statesmanship and sound policies during the previous legislative terms.
