His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has lauded the progress of the judicial system in the Kingdom.
He expressed full confidence in the Bahraini judiciary's landmark strides and independence, and expressed pride in Bahraini judges' neutrality and impartiality.
He also commended the efforts exerted by the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC)'s President and members, as well as judges, to strengthen the institutional framework of the Judicial branch in the kingdom.
HRH Premier was speaking as he received at the Gudaibiya Palace today the SJC's President and Head of the Cassation Court Salim bin Mohammed Al-Kuwari and SJC's members, who delivered to him the Strategic Document of the Judicial Branch 2020 aiming to develop judicial work in the kingdom.
HRH Premier praised the continuous development and organisation of the Bahraini Judiciary, in terms of structure, legislation and judges' competence.
He said that the strategy will maintain the steady progress of the Bahraini judiciary which has always been known for the impartiality of its judges, and keenness to promote justice, equality and rule of the law on all.
He added that the strategy will support the work of judges as it allows them to take advantage of information technology, which, he said, will reflect positively on the judicial system through ensuring easy procedures, in line with the pre-set SJC's goals for which he pledged every support.
Salim bin Mohammed Al-Kuwari extended, on behalf of the SJC members, sincere thanks and appreciation to HRH Premier for his constant interest in supporting efforts to develop Bahraini judiciary.
He added that he and SJC members briefed HRH Premier on the goals and parts of the Strategic Document of the Judicial Branch 2020 aiming to upgrade the Judicial Branch in Bahrain
