
Saudi Deputy Crown Prince Miqrin Bin Abdulaziz underscored here on Friday that the establishment of the a Gulf Union would be a necessity for internal and regional stability. Speaking to the Saudi Press Agency, Prince Miqrin stressed that the prospective union was not meant against any country nor regional or global nation and has no expansionist policy or foreign ambitions. He explained that the call of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz to establish a Gulf Union emerges from his political wisdom and sense of responsibility towards his country and towards the Gulf region, as well as his knowledge of the current and future challenges facing the Arab Gulf states that share the foundations and principles of the tolerant Islamic faith and the fate of one and a common future. He said that the Union is the demand and need for GCC citizens rather than being a requirement for governments
