Priority is to get rid of Daesh in Iraq

Iraqi Council of Representatives Speaker Saleem al Jubouri on Saturday said that priority in Iraq is to get rid of Daesh terrorist organization that has caused many disasters in many countries of the world.

Jubouri, who concluded a visit to Brussels with a meeting with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini, urged the EU to support his county to defeat Daesh.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the security and humanitarian situation in Iraq, along with ways to alleviate the suffering of displaced persons in the country.

For her part, Mogherini called for a cultural war against Daesh in addition to the military confrontations.
