
The public security department in the Interior Ministry resumed its campaigns to arrest outlaws as well as owners of unlicensed weapons and restore security to the street.
The campaigns, which were launched upon directives by Interior Minister Magdy Abdel Ghafar, resulted in seizing 183 unlicensed weapons, a workshop for manufacturing arms and arresting five gangs over past 24 hours.
It also resulted in seizing 337 piece of cold weapons, nabbing 155 fugitives and retrieving nine stolen cars.
The security apparatuses took necessary security measures in each incident and notified the prosecution to open probe.
