
Qatar has welcomed the success of the 2014 parliamentary and municipal elections in Bahrain, hailing the massive participation which embodied the Bahraini people's patriotism and national responsibility.
It also described the elections as a vital step in Bahrain's democratic process and national unity.
In a statement issued today by the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Qatar affirmed that the success of elections reflected the Bahraini people's desire to rally behind the government in order to ensure the success of the pioneering Reform Project spearheaded by Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
It expressed hope that the elections would achieve more progress and prosperity for Bahrain and its people.
It also said it always welcomed every thing that would achieve more development and prosperity for Bahrain, in light of the solid fraternal bilateral relations bonding the two countries and their brotherly peoples.
