
Qatar welcomed results of the Tunisian legislative elections on Monday.
In a statement, the Foreign Ministry termed the legislative elections as a historic step towards strengthening the democratic process and building the state of institutions and law.
The ministry expressed its appreciation for the awareness of the Tunisian people and the wisdom of the political forces that avoided abortion of the peaceful transition process, saying the current task is represented in the protection of the newly born political pluralism and the achievements of the revolution.
The statement expressed hope that the elections would contribute to promoting national unity and maintaining security, stability and prosperity in Tunisia to meet ambitions and aspirations of the Tunisian people, aspiring to cooperate with everyone chosen by the Tunisian people
