
Qatari Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani held talks with visiting Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas on Sunday on the Israeli military offensive against Gaza Strip.
Abbas briefed Sheikh Tamim on the latest developments on the ground in the occupied Palestinian territories and efforts being exerted to stop the Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people, the officials QNA news agency reported.
Sheikh Tamim reiterated firm support for the Palestinian people and called on the world powers to live up to their responsibilities to stop the Israeli army from killing the innocent Palestinian people.
The two leaders also discussed the Qatari diplomatic endeavors aimed at halting the Israeli aggression that killed at least 370 people and injured hundreds others.
