
The graduation ceremony of the second batch of national service conscripts of university graduates and the first batch of high school graduates or below was held Thursday with 1234 conscripts graduating.
HE Minister of State for Defense Affairs Maj. Gen. Hamad bin Ali Al Attiyah attended the ceremony, which was staged at Al Shamal camp, along with a group of senior army officers and a number of officials and parents.
Speaking during the event, Staff Brigadier Mohamed Musfir Mohamed Al Ayadi, head of the National Service Centre, said the efforts and recommendations of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani have paid off today as the second batch of national service graduates.
He underlined the constant support and efforts of HE Al Attiyah and HE Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Air Vice-Marshal Ghanim bin Shaheen Al-Ghanim in removing obstacles for such a huge national project.
He also thanked conscripts for their distinguished participation in the National Day march, which reflected love for the homeland, loyalty and readiness to defend its territory and people.
