HE the Prime Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Thani presided over the Cabinet weekly regular session held at the Emiri Diwan today.

At the outset of the meeting the Cabinet welcomed the end of the 'Operation Decive Storm' after it achieved its goals and the start of the "Operation Restoring Hope' upon a request by Yemeni President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi.

The Cabinet called on all Yemen Parties to respond to the 'Operation Restorating Hope', the resumption of the political process and the support of the national interest in order to restore security and stability in their country and to protect the gains of the brotherly Yemeni people.

The cabinet praise the outcome of the 13th United Nations Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice, held in Doha from April 12 through 19 with a wide international participation.

The cabinet stressed that the success of the Congress and its results constitute a landmark and a significant achievement in the field of justice and prevention of crime, especially the contents of the Doha Declaration that has been issued by the congress and which is regarded as a roadmap and an international commitment that makes the world a safer and more peaceful place through the implementation of comprehensive policies and strategies in the field of crime prevention, criminal justice and the promotion of law supremacy on the national and international levels.

Afterwards the Cabinet discussed topics tabled on the agenda as follows: Approved a a draft law on the issuance of a GCC states unified system on the ozone layer depleting substances and decided to refer it to the Advisory Council.

In accordance with the provisions of the draft law, the Ministry of Environment shall determine the import quotas stipulated in the attached system and concerned persons can complain to the minister against the decision issued with regard to their quota. A decision defining the fees levied for the services delivered by the ministry shall be issued by the Minister.

The system aims to eliminate totally the ozone layer depleting substance in exchange for safe alternatives in accordance with national interests of the GCC states as per Montreal Protocol and the regulation of the import, re-export, transport, storage, circulation, treatment and usage of substance under supervision as well as the drawing up and implementation of GCC plans and programmes for qualifying sectors activities of which rely on substances under supervision and their assistance in adhering to sound practices in repair and maintenance operations as well as shifting to the appropriate alternatives.

 Approved a draft decision by the Minister of Communications and Information Technology defining the fees of the frequency spectrum's usage.

Approved a draft agreement on maritime transport between governments of the State of Qatar and the Republic of Turkey.

The Cabinet reviewed the following issued to took the appropriate decisions thereon: A memorandum by HE the Minister of Administrative Development on the results of the ministry's study of proposals by HE the Minister of Development Planning and Statistics on the balance between the role of women in the family and the society and its role in the labour market and remarks and proposals of Their Excellencies the ministers in this regard.

A letter by the tax grievances committee at the Ministry of Finance regarding a report on the committee's work during the period from 1.7.2014 to 13.12.2014 A memorandum by HE the Minister of Public Health on the results of the 78th Conference of the GCC Health Ministers Council (Riyadh - February 2015).

A letter by HE the Minister of Environment on the results of the 18th meeting of ministers in charge of environmental affairs in GCC states (the State of Kuwait - December 2014).

A memorandum by HE the Minister of Public Health on the results of the 43rd ordinary session of the Arab Public Health Ministers (Cairo - February 2015).

A letter by HE the Minister of Education and Higher Education and Secretary-General of Supreme Education Council on the results of the Arab states' Regional Ministerial Conference on Education Post-2015 (Sharm el-Sheikh - January 2015).
