Mufti of Al Quds and the Palestinian territories Mohammed Hussein on Monday condemned the Israeli actions at Al Aqsa mosque.
In a statement, Hussein warned of the repercussions settlers' repeated incursions on the holy site under occupations forces's protection and assaulting worshipers there.
He praised the Aqsa guards and worshipers on commitment to their duty to protect the holy site, calling on those who can reach Al Aqsa to defend it.
The mufti also urged human rights organizations to put pressure on Israel, which violates all international norms and laws in dealing with Palestinian prisoners.
Israeli forces raided Al Aqsa Mosque compound on Monday and deployed heavily in the courtyard, leading to clashes with Palestinian worshipers ahead of the Jewish holiday of Sukkot.
