Rafah crossing on Wednesday received 762 Palestinian pilgrims coming from the Gaza Strip on their way to Saudi Arabia via Cairo International Airport.
All measures were eased for the travelers and vehicles were provided to move them to Cairo International Airport, an official at the crossing said on Wednesday.
Over the past two days, up to 1,514 pilgrims from the Gaza Strip have crossed the terminal, opened exceptionally on Monday, on their way to Cairo Airport where they would fly to Saudi Arabia to perform the hajj rituals, the official added.
Rafah border terminal was shut down by Egyptian authorities in the wake of a terrorist attack on a security checkpoint on October 24. The crossing, however, was repeatedly opened to let in stranded people and humanitarian cases.
The North Sinai attack left over 30 security personnel dead.
