
Al-Rahma International, charitable off-shoot of Kuwaiti Social Reform Society, had distributed baskets of food rations to Syrian refugee families in the Mount Lebanon area, with supplies they would need for the holy fasting month of Ramadan.
A statement by the charity, Sunday, said a delegation headed by Nasser Humoud Al-Dabbous had visited the offices of the "Social Society" operating in the area and reviewed the activities of the local charity. It added the Kuwaiti society contributed to sponsoring of Syrian refugee students at Al-Awdah School.
Head of the local society, Ahmad Al-Haj Shehadeh, for his part expressed gratitude for the Kuwaiti support and the series of relief campaigns to help alleviate the suffering of and provide for the Syrian refugees in Lebanon.
Al-Rahma International is a very active Kuwaiti charitable body. Along with Zakat House, The Red Crescent Society, the International Islamic Charitable Organization, Society for the Revival of Islamic Heritage, and many more, it is among leading organizations extending support to Syrian refugees in Lebanon.(
