
The Embassy of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic in Algiers on Saturday denounced the mistreatment by Moroccan security services at the airport in Casablanca against the Saharawi delegation returning from Algeria after taking part in the 5th edition of the Summer University of Executives of the Polisario Front and the Sahrawi Republic, held in Boumerdes.
"The Saharawi delegation returning from Algeria where it participated in the summer university in the province of Boumerdes was mistreated by Moroccan security services at the airport of Casablanca", the Sahrawi embassy said in a statement.
Members of the Saharawi delegation "were targeted by exceptional measures, including isolation from other travellers and confinement inside the airport," sthe same source said.
The Moroccan security forces "strengthened their presence inside the building of the Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca," the statement added.
