H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, has condemned the attack on Saudi border guards in Northern Saudi Arabia at dawn today as a terrorist, coward and ignominious act and a murder that is against conscience of humanity and all traditions and religions.
In a phone call with the Saudi counterpart Interior Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, H.H. Sheikh Saif strongly denounced the attack as malicious and reiterated that the UAE leadership, government and people stand with Saudi Arabia against terrorism.
He described the victims of the attack as sincerely dedicated for the protection of the security of their country's security and stability.
H.H. Sheikh Saif also conveyed the condolences of the UAE leadership, government and people for the families of the martyrs and prayed to Allah Almighty to bless their souls with mercy in Paradise.
H.H. Sheikh Saif bin Zayed and Prince Mohammed bin Nayef stressed that terrorism is against religion and that the killing of souls that God has forbidden except by right of justice cannot be justified.
They also expressed their confidence in the ability of the constructive forces of good and peace to counter the destructive and obscurantist forces because Allah eventually advocates the truth and defeats falsehood.
Three Saudi Arabian border guards were killed and another two injured on the frontier with Iraq in a terrorist suicide attack by armed men, a Saudi interior ministry spokesperson said yesterday in a statement carried by Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
