
Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon Ali Awwadh Asiri discussed on Monday with United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) representative Mireille Girard and the representative of the UN World Food Program (WFP) Gawaher Atef coordinating the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Syrian city of Madaya.
The discussions came during a meeting attended by the head of the "Saudi National Campaign to Support Syrian Brothers," a statement issued from the Saudi embassy said.
The statement added that relief agencies were urged to deliver food, medical equipment, blankets and cloths for Syrians in the besieged city.
Efforts by the Saudi Arabia to offer support for Syrians were mentioned during the meeting.
