Saudi Interior Ministry announced Tuesday arrest of 88 suspected terrorists who were planning to carry out "terrorist" attacks at home and abroad.
In a press statement, the Ministry said police raids were carried out at the same time in several cities across the kingdom over the past few days to arrest the suspects.
The list of arrested includes three Yemenis, an unidentified man and the rest are Saudis, 59 of whom had previously served prison terms for similar offences, it pointed out.
It noted that the security agencies have been monitoring the suspects for months.
The Ministry said that the pre-emptive raids were meant to prevent the suspects from implementing their plans at homes and abroad.
It confirmed that the security agencies are closely monitoring anybody of suspicious behavior and will not arrest him.
The Ministry praised awareness of citizens and residents against danger of the perpetrators.
People's awareness and cooperation have helped prove this crackdown campaign successful without inflicting any losses.
