The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia expressed discontent over a decision by some countries to boycott Item VII on the agenda of the Human Rights Council on conditions of the Palestinians in the occupied territories.
Saudi permanent delegate to the UN Geneva headquarters Faisal ben Hassan Tarrad said the decision to boycott Item VII would encourage Israel to continue violation of the international laws and crimes against the Palestinian people.
He reiterated Saudi Arabia's condemnation of the killing of a Palestinian toddler and some members of his family at the hands of Israeli settlers in Douma village in Nablus weeks ago and also condemned the intrusion of Al Aqsa mosque by the ultra-orthodox Jews and urged listing Israeli settlement groups on the terror list.
The Saudi diplomat urged international community to work for compelling Israel to respect the human rights and stop aggression against places of worship in the Palestinian territories.
