
Saudi consul in Aden Abdullah Mohammed Khalifa al Khalidi has arrived home safely after being kidnapped for three years.
An official source at the Saudi Interior Ministry said the release was a result of intensive efforts made by the presidency of the General Intelligence.
Al Khalidi was kidnapped in front of his home in the district of Mansoura, Aden while he was on his way to his office on March 28, 2012.
He will undergo medical tests and be reunited with his family.
The Interior Ministry confirms that the state will spare no effort in maintaining its citizens and ensuring their safety wherever they are.
