
Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, chaired the Cabinet's session at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh on Monday afternoon.
The Minister of Hajj and Acting Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Bandar bin Mohammed Hajjar said in a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the session that the Cabinet discussed a number of topics on the latest developments at regional, Arab and international arenas, stressing the Kingdom's firm positions on various events.
The Cabinet expressed its strong condemnation of Israeli troops' storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque and their attacks on worshipers, which led to many injuries, reiterating the call for the international community and organizations to take action to put an end to Israeli blatant violations and terrorist acts against the Palestinian people and their sanctities.
The Cabinet welcomed the announcement by President of Republic of Yemen Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi, on the formation of the government of the Republic of Yemen, considering this as a positive and significant step towards achieving the aspirations of the brotherly Yemeni people in security and stability.
On internal affairs, the Cabinet expressed its condemnation of the criminal incident which took place in Ahsa Governorate which resulted in bloodshed, killing of innocents, and violations of the sanctities of protected people, security and stability and the lives of innocent citizens, considering this as an unjust and terrorist aggression from spiteful people who killed Muslims unlawfully, expressing its deepest condolences to the families of the deceased, the martyrs of duty and the wounded as the result of confrontation with the suspects involved in participating in committing the crime, and commending at the same time the security men for their determination shown in carrying out their duties in confronting the schemes all those people committing these acts which are contrary to the teachings of the Islamic religion and their call for the creation of chaos in the nation.
The Cabinet commended scholars, sheikhs and citizens in all regions of the Kingdom for their condemnation of these criminal acts, praying to Allah Almighty to bestow mercy upon the martyrs of citizens and security men and a speedy recovery for the injured.
