
Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Supreme Hajj Committee has approved the general plan of the civil defense's works in emergencies cases to protect the security and safety of pilgrims during this year's Hajj season 2014.
This was announced by the Director General of Civil Defense, Major General Suleiman bin Abdullah Al-Amr.
He further said that this approval comes as an extension of the Minister's efforts and his close follow-up for the achievement of security and safety of pilgrims, as well as his support for the efforts of civil defense to do its duties in the face of any risks during Hajj season.
Major General Al-Amr added that the plan approved by Prince Mohammed bin Naif accommodates the latest changes being witnessed in Makkah, Madinah and the holy sites and has been prepared in the light of lessons learned from Hajj of previous years to include the latest developments related to the projects being implemented as the expansion of the Grand Mosque, stressing the readiness of the civil defense forces to participate in Hajj works to fully perform the tasks assigned to it amid more than 450 civil defense centers in Makkah, Holy Sites and Madinah .
