The bomber is 21 years old, noting that the bombing claimed 15 lives, a statement by the ministry said.
Earlier, Daesh revealed the bomber’s image, without disclosing his name but it announced that his nickname is ‘Abu Sinan al Najdi.”
About 33 people were wounded in the attack, which occurred in a mosque in an interior ministry compound in Abha, the capital of Saudi Arabia’s Asir province near the border with Yemen.
The bombing took place after a group of officers had completed training for the week and had stopped for midday prayer at the mosque, according to a local report.
