A Saudi newspaper has paid tribute to the UAE for its brave stand in support of Operation: 'Al Hazm Storm' and Operation: 'Restoring Hope' to help Yemen regain its legitimacy.

A report carried today by the Arabic language daily 'Alriyadh' saluted President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates for 'doing what it takes to support the crucial battle to regain legitimacy in Yemen and to defend the Yemeni people from the aggression and crimes of the Houthi militias.

"The UAE sacrificed tens of young and brave soldiers and right from the beginning, the leadership demonstrated gallantry and patriotism by taking a decisive decision to join the Saudi-led Arab Coalition," the paper said.

"The UAE is founded on a wise policy of establishing peaceful relations with all countries and until recently, the country rarely fought a war, but the war against un-enlightenment, the war to build a promising future for its people and the war to provide humanitarian assistance to the needy and less fortunate people all over the world," it added.

The paper continued by saying the UAE armed forces joined this important mission and contributed significantly in creating a shift in the balance of power. The UAE offered several martyrs who sacrificed their dear lives while defending the oppressed and helpless people."
