
Saudi Minister Education Prince Khaled Al-Faisal has affirmed significance of the 23rd GCC education ministers' meeting, due here on October 21-22, particularly for "unifying the educational process" among the council member states.
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Education, in a statement issued on Sunday, quoted the Saudi minister as saying that the planned conference would be an opportunity "to press ahead with specific strategies aimed at adopting educational issues and tackling latest topics in the sector." Prince Khaled indicated the need to stay abreast of latest technological innovations while preserving genuine values of the GCC communities, while executing the process to revamp the key sector.
He underlined importance of inter-GCC cooperation at this level, using all resources "for building a Gulf homeland with realistic immediate and future plans to enhance the GCC citizens' intelligence."
