Saudi Foreign Minister Adel el Jubeir asserted the necessity of forming a transitional authority to assume control in Syria, adding that Syrian President Bashar el Assad has no place in Syria's future.
This came at the conclusion of Jubeir's talks with visiting US Secretary of State John Kerry.
Al Arabiya Al Hadath news channel quoted Jubeir as saying that his talks with Kerry tackled regional issues, adding that there was concord in stances on the need to find a political solution in Syria.
On Iran, Jubeir voiced hope that Iran would support stability in the region, adding that Iran is a country that supports terror and negatively interferes in the affairs of the region.
Jubeir also necessitated putting an end to the Israeli aggression against the Palestinians.
