The development of a future-oriented vision for statistical work and best methods of disseminating high-quality statistics have been central points of discussions at the annual meeting organsied by the Statistics Centre-Abu Dhabi, SCAD, for its strategic partners in Abu Dhabi. .
The annual meeting, attended by representatives of state departments concerned and a number of international consultants, is part of SCAD's strategic plan to develop the statistical system of Abu Dhabi in a way to ensure the Emirate is on a par with developed nations in terms with accuracy, timeliness and relevance.
The vision of SCAD is aligned with the ambitious vision of the Government of the Emirate, whereby SCAD seeks to match the standards of international statistical offices, in order to support development plans in the emirate through the production and dissemination of high-quality statistics that meet the needs of data users in the best possible way.
Commenting on the meeting, Butti Ahmed Mohamed Bin Butti Al Qubaisi, Director-General, SCAD, said that SCAD is inspired by the prudent policy of the wise leadership of the country and the importance the government is attaching to ensure a sustainable future for the country and its people.
