Security apparatus in Sharqyia arrest suicide group

The security apparatus in Sharqyia, central Egypt, arrested a terrorist cell that is led by an extremist associated with Daesh terrorist group.

The cell was seeking to create chaos in Egypt.

Sharqiya security chief Major General Hassein Seif has received reports to the effect that an extremist in Zaqaziq is leading a terrorist cell and that he was contacting Daesh terrorist group.

The leader managed to recruit several young people with a view to carrying out terrorist operations against the State's institutions.

Investigations revealed that the cell members were trained to use weapons and manufacture explosives in a bid to commit terrorist acts against members of the police and army and public figures.

The prosecution was notified to start a probe.
