
Security forces in Suez have been deployed on streets and at the southern entrance to the Suez Canal as Egypt marks the fifth anniversary of the January 25 Revolution Monday.
Forces are also deployed at various checkpoints at the entrances to and exits of the governorate.
Meanwhile, head of the Suez Security Directorate Magdy Abdel Aal inspected police forces who are securing facilities in the governorate as well as forces stationed at the checkpoints.
Abdel Aal said that the forces are on alert to protect citizens, asserting that the police and army are coordinating efforts to carry out an overall security plan.
