Security measures have been beefed up in Qalyubia governorate after calls by the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood group to stage protests on Friday.
Police patrolled on Friday at main squares and streets in order to tighten up security measures in the city, said Qalyubia police chief Saeed Shalaby in press statements.
Several mobile and fixed checkpoints were deployed at the entrances and exits of the governorate, he said.
