
The Governor of the Capital Governorate Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa chaired the first security meeting in 2015 attended by the Director-General of Police and chiefs of police stations in the Capital Governorate to discuss cooperation and coordination over security services.
The meeting aimed at attaining all the visions and ideas to establish common grounds to accomplish the sought goals in the services of the Capital's denizens.
The Governor said that the Capital Governorate gives maximum priority to implementation of security needs and consolidate security and serenity of all citizens and residents in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, after the new geographic map division and consequential affiliation of new blocks and districts to the Capital, which in the past used to be affiliated to the Northern Governorate or the former Central Governorate.
The meeting discussed the new geographic map division and consequential increase in the number of citizens' complaints which entail the offering of optimum methods to address them.
The meeting also discussed various security issues and problems in the Governorate and how to cope with them.
The Governor expressed his intention to hold a series of working meetings with the Capital's Police Directorate in view of its role of constant safeguarding the interests of citizens and residents and the Capital Governorate's proposed joint programme aimed to engage in the concept of community partnership in communication with the inhabitants.
The Capital's Director General of Police Colonel Khalid Al-Thawadi expressed his gratitude and appreciation of the Capital Governor's efforts to coordinate and cooperate with the Directorate.
