
The security situation in the Upper governorate of Aswan is calm after security reinforcements were sent over, the Interior Ministry said. Speaking over the phone to "MBC Misr" satellite channel, ministry spokesman Hani Abdel-Latif said the ministry will chase all the suspects involved in the deadly tribal clashes in Aswan, which left 25 persons dead. Earlier in the day, a truce has been reached to halt fighting between Al-Halayel and Daboudiya tribes after three days of bloody clashes claimed the lives of 25 persons and left 40 others injured.
