In compliance with the directives of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Chairman of the Bahrain Olympics Committee and Leader of the Royal Equestrian and Endurance Team, the Royal stables participated with more than 80 horse riders from all over the world in the Steeds Show in Morocco conducted under the kind patronage of HM King Mohammed VI Monarch of the Kingdom of Morocco under the slogan: (Horses elevate socio-economic development). The show was inaugurated by HRH Prince Rasheed on behalf of HM the Moroccan Monarch and comprised numerous aspects which illustrated the importance of Arabian horse in addition to organizing a number of conferences, workshops, hurdle negotiation competitions, Moroccan fantasia and Arabian camels beauty. The Kingdom of Bahrain’s Royal Stables participated in the Moroccan Horses Show in line with constructive cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Moroccan Kingdom in the various arenas particularly equestrian sports. The Kingdom of Bahrain’s Royal Galleria included portraits of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa Monarch of the Kingdom of Bahrain who has always been interested in the equestrians sport in which the Kingdom achieved great feats by virtue of His Majesty’s huge support to the sport inherited from the fathers and forefathers. The Bahraini pavilion illustrated the distinguished feats achieved by the Royal Equestrian and Endurance team leader His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa as well as by His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa and the Bahraini team members in the various championships especially in Europe. The show also exhibited pictures from the Bahrain-Morocco Competitions conducted in Morocco, citing the huge goals realized for endurance sports in both kingdoms. The Bahraini section also exhibited booklets and documentary films which narrate the Kingdom of Bahrain’s equestrian and endurance feats. His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa remarked that the Bahraini Pavilion included numerous exhibits which confirm the keenness of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa Monarch of the Kingdom of Bahrain on the role of equestrian sports and the significant role of Kingdom of Bahrain in this field. The number of visitors to the horses show is expected to reach 250,000 spectators who come to the various daily programs from all over the world.
