
Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah is likely to remain as President of the Association of the National Olympic Committees (ANOC) after 123 countries out of the association's 205-members expressed desire to re-elect him as President for the four upcoming years.
An ANOC statement obtained by KUNA said that the endorsement during the association's executive board meeting which was held Lausanne, Switzerland.
Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad became President of ANOC by endorsement during the association's Moscow general assembly in April 2012.
ANOC was established in June 1979 during the Constitutive General Assembly in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
ANOC's headquarters was located in Paris between 1982 and 2010 before moving to the Olympic capital, Lausanne, in May 2010.
