H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, has hailed the sacrifices of valiant heroes of the UAE Armed Forces, saying these sacrifices will go down in the annals of history and exhibit their patriotism and gallantry.
In a statement on the 41st Anniversary of the UAE Armed Forces' Unification Day, the Ruler of Fujairah said that they have set a supreme example for heroism, selflessness and sacrificed their lives in the line of duty to protect the sovereignty of their homeland, gaining the honour of martyrdom to dwell in heavens and rest in peace.
Following is the full text of the statement of H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi on the 41st Anniversary of the UAE Armed Forces' Unification Day: "We hail with pride the noble achievements made by our Armed Forces during their sacred missions to protect the security, stability and peace of our homeland, and their selfless contributions made to supporting of Arab causes, and in protection of the Arab national security.
Our gallant Armed Forces stand with profound loyalty, sincere patriotism and in complete preparedness to defend the soil of our homeland and render our country impenetrable against whoever attempts to endanger our security and stability.
Out of their strong belief in the vital importance of building a powerful military force to defend the homeland and safeguard our gains and accomplishments, the Founder, our Father late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, God bless his soul, and his brothers, the founding Rulers of the United Arab Emirates, decided on May 6th 1976 to unify the Armed Forces in what was deemed as a historic great resolution by great men who enviably succeeded to make their dreams come true.
On this cherished occasion, we renew our Allegiance to the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Members of Supreme Council, Their Highnesses Rulers of Emirates, and greet them on this glorious day. May Allah The Almighty protect our beloved homeland and keep our armed forces mighty and deterrent.
On the 41st anniversary of the UAE Armed Forces' unification, we pray to the Almighty God to have mercy on the martyrs’ souls. We supplicate to God as well to bestow patience upon their families and grant them security and prosperity. The sacrifices of our valiant heroes will go down in the annals of history and will forever be illuminated for their patriotism and gallantry. They have set a supreme example for heroism and selflessness and sacrificed their lives in the line of duty to protect the sovereignty of their homeland, gaining the honour of martyrdom to dwell in heavens and rest in peace.
On this noble occasion, we salute our gallant sons and brothers of the UAE Armed Forces who are serving inside and outside the borders of our homeland. They are the fortress that safeguards our liberties, dignity, and gains, setting a model for patriotism and selfless sacrifices, sparing no effort to keep our homeland united, defend our gains, preserve peace and respond to the call of duty whenever and wherever it is."
