Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry led Egypt's delegation to a meeting of the Arab foreign ministers, which was held on the sidelines of the 70th session of the UN General Assembly here.
The meeting took up the current situation in the Palestinian territories and Israeli aggression on Al Aqsa Mosque along with the Libyan crisis, said Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid.
The Arab foreign ministers adopted at their meeting the statement that was outlined by Egypt and Palestine regarding the events in Al Haram Al Sharif, denouncing the Israeli practices in Al Quds, and the Mosque in particular, the spokesman added.
The statement urged the United Nations Security Council to undertake its responsibility towards these practices which are aimed at changing the situation on the ground and which are also jeopardizing chances of the peace negotiations' success, he added.
