
Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry underlined the depth of relations between Egypt and Oman.
The foreign ministers of the two countries seek promoting joint relations, he underscored.
These remarks came during a joint press conference held between Shoukry and Omani Foreign Minister Yusuf bin Alawi on Monday.
During the conference, Shoukry said that Oman supported Egypt in various occasions, noting that it was agreed to increase the visits exchanged between the two sides in the framework of activating the joint business council.
The Egyptian top diplomat said that he discussed with his Omani counterpart the challenges that face the two nations and conditions in Syria as well as Libya.
They agreed on resuming consultations to find suitable solutions for such issues so as to preserve the Arab national security.
Foreign Minister Shoukry expressed his appreciation for the Omani people and leadership who understand the will of the Egyptian government that aims at fulfilling the aspirations of its nation.
For his part, Omani foreign minister said that the two countries seek to boost the joint ties.
He further reiterated that Egypt role in the region is pivotal the joint Arab action.
