
Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry has asserted that terrorism represents a serious challenge to Arab countries and the world.
In a press conference on Tuesday with his Bahraini counterpart Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohamed al Khalifa, the foreign minister called on the international community to rally efforts to confront all terrorist organizations either through political or security measures to prevent them from recruiting foreign fighters to carry out terror acts.
The foreign minister said that Egypt and Bahrain are suffering from terrorism, adding that there is intelligence cooperation between the two countries to confront such phenomenon.
For his part, the Bahraini foreign minister praised cooperation between the two countries in the field of combating terrorists who seek weakening countries and enabling terrorist groups such as Daesh and Al Nusra Front and other terrorist groups to carry out terrorist operations.
He pointed out that terrorism is supported by some countries so that terrorists possess weapons to weaken other countries.
